AIM & OBJECTIVES:
Our Immanuel Seniors claim God’s promises as our name implies, “Immanuel God with us”. We are, socially, a very active and vibrant group, we endeavor to remain spiritually charged, enjoy, in Jesus, the precious lives He has sustained us with, and be an example to whoever we meet. We are very inclusive and love to interact with  our Young Adults, our pre-seniors and our Pastors, to present our Devotions at our monthly meetings.

ACTIVITIES:
Ongoing presentations on topics relevant to our needs, particularly

  • Maintaining good Health, diet and exercise, and making Christ the centre of our joy.
  • We take pleasure in celebrating birthdays, wedding anniversaries and other milestone events each month  with cards, refreshments birthdays cakes  with family and friends.

SPRING & SUMMER BUS TRIPS EACH YEAR; our 2023 Bus Trip was the Lift locks in Peterborough,  where members of all ages joined us. We are in the process of planning our 2024 trips. Anyone wishing to join us may contact our leaders.

  • END OF YEAR IN EVENTS: Christmas Dinner at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Airport Road, sponsored by the seniors. Last December we had 75 members from Immanuel and friends of Immanuel were in attendance.
  • Our next Christmas Dinner is already booked for Sunday December 15, 2025. There will be updates closer to the date.
  • OUR MUSIC MINISTRY: We have an active Ukulele Band under the able leadership of Elder Ysmael Miranda, assisted by Elder Aurora Wilson. We participate in Concerts at Immanuel and other churches. It is exciting to have a number of young people who have joined our group and find the experience fulfilling. There is room for anyone to join our group of musicians whether or not you have any knowledge of music. This year we will participate in the Easter Concert at Immanuel March 30, We will also perform during the Worship Service, Seniors Day, July 6, 2024.
